From July 4th to 26th, the eight islands of the Canary archipelago will be filled with live music, featuring 58 concerts across 29 venues, offering a unique experience for lovers of jazz and contemporary music.
This festival, which dates back to 1992, has become a key fixture in the cultural calendar of the Canary Islands. Its mission goes beyond celebrating jazz in its purest form: it also promotes music education, cultural integration, and the enjoyment of music in an unmatched natural setting.
A world-class lineup
The 2025 edition of Canarias Jazz & Más unveils a full lineup of around thirty artists, promising a month full of concerts and activities. The lineup includes major figures from the international jazz scene as well as promising new voices and emerging talents.
Among them is the Dee Dee Bridgewater Quartet, an undisputed diva of contemporary jazz and winner of several Grammy Awards. She will deliver a powerful performance filled with energy and musical freedom.
Also taking the stage is Lakecia Benjamin, an American saxophonist known for her vibrant and groundbreaking style. She has captivated the international scene with her talent and strong stage presence.
Rita Payés, a young Spanish trombonist and singer, will present her album De Camino al Camino, a blend of styles in a poetic search for everyday beauty.
Gonzalo Rubalcaba, a living legend of jazz piano, will also perform. Internationally acclaimed for his virtuosity and creativity, he is considered one of the greatest pianists of the 20th and 21st centuries.
The festival will also feature many more artists such as Take 6 (with the Gran Canaria Philharmonic Orchestra), Alain Pérez, Krzysztof Kobylinsky, Giovane Orchestra Jazz Siciliana, Ellister van der Molen, and many others.
Beyond the concerts
The Canarias Jazz & Más International Festival 2025 goes far beyond its main performances.
Its inclusive philosophy also includes seminars and masterclasses, offering musicians and students the opportunity to learn from top jazz masters.
There will also be jam sessions: spontaneous musical gatherings and collaborative spaces.
Finally, performances will take place across 28 different venues throughout the Canary Islands, including Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Arucas (Gran Canaria), and La Graciosa, bringing music to wider audiences in unique settings.
