Playa de Bocabarranco

The main beach for dogs in Gran Canaria is  Playa de Bocabarranco. One of the pro is that  it is just little traveled also due to its big waves.  There is a zone especially enabled for dogs, all the year long.

This beach belongs to the zone of Telde and it’s very close to the capital Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. It’s ubicated in the Jinámar Valley and it’s characterized by more than 6000 squared meters of beach and aprox. 1 Km longitude. It’s the biggest beach for dogs of the island.

Playa de los Tres Peos

The second beach for dogs in Gran Canaria is in the municipality of Agüimes and it’s caracterized by sandy zones mixed with zones with rocks.

It’s small, just 300 metres  of beach and vs Bocabarranco it does not offer services to the visititors and its access is quite difficult.  It’s possible to go there always during the year but you should keep attention to the strong streams.

Playa de los Cuervitos

Close to Playa de los Tres Peos,  in Agüimes, there is Playa de los Cuervitos.  It’s a beach with rocks and it does not offer services to visitors.

It’s a calm bay, it’s difficult to get there and it’s possible to visit it the entire year.

Basic rules by the beaches for dogs in Gran Canaria

Dogs have to wear his belt and muzzle in case of dangerous breeds. They should have all the mandatory vaccines, be dewormed and well identified. Owners should respect the quiet and they should keep the zone clean from dogs excrements.
