Organizing Christmas celebrations seems to be a ritual. Whit whom hava dinner at Christmas Eve? Where do you go for Christmas dinner? What do you do on New Year’s Eve? The solution is simple: come to Lanzarote for the holidays!<\/p>\n

Enjoying Christmas decorations<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The good weather does not prove that it is Christmas, Lanzarote is transformed to welcome the holidays.<\/p>\n

Many villages install the Christmas lights and decorate the streets. Besides the typical garlands, many palm trees are decorated with lights to enhance their beauty.<\/p>\n

There are some Christmas trees, like the one inaugurated a few days ago in the Cabildo of Lanzarote in Arrecife. The impressive multicoloured structure is 15 metres high and has more than 35,000 LED lights.<\/p>\n

In Arrecife it is possible to visit a magnificent nativity scene with beautiful models of historical buildings in the city.<\/p>\n

Other towns like Tinajo, have introduced this year, new decorations, such as the Santa Claus wheel, installed in the roundabout at the entrance of the town, which welcomes the visitors.<\/p>\n

Nativity scenes in Lanzarote<\/h2>\n

A good alternative to visit Lanzarote at Christmas is to realize a route to see the several nativity scenes of the island.<\/p>\n

There are static nativity scenes all over the island because every village create its own, with pride.<\/p>\n

On the other side, different points of the island prepare their living nativity scenes<\/strong>, so that the ihnabitans attend the Christmas tradition. Among them, we should mention the Tinajo\u2019s ones, that count with small animals of the area.<\/p>\n

The list of nativity scenes that worth to visit is very very long. In addition to the Tinajo<\/strong>\u2019s ones we can mention also the one of Har\u00eda<\/strong>, by the\u00a0Thousands Palmtrees valley.<\/a> A traditional nativity scene full of details in an incredible environment that you can’t miss!<\/p>\n

Another special nativity scene is the Yaiza nativity scene. With more than 23 meters long, this nativity scene allows to reproduce a tour of some of the most emblematic points of the island.<\/p>\n

Christmas activities in each village<\/h2>\n

Every village of Lanzarote want to show to its neighbours a big program for the holidays. Therefore, from the largest cities to the smallest villages offer various activities at Christmas.<\/p>\n

Visiting every corner of Lanzarote at Christmas is a gift for the senses. It is a different way to discover the island and its traditions.<\/p>\n

There are Christmas concerts, horse riding, children’s workshops, traditional workshops, parades, popular races, theatre… You can plan \u00a0and enjoy the Christmas spirit.<\/p>\n

If you prefer to discover Santa Claus house, you can do it by the \u00a0Shopping Center Biosfera Plaza<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The third floor of this shopping center in Puerto del Carmen has been welcoming Santa Claus every Saturday afternoon since November 16th. He will also be present on the 24th in the morning.<\/p>\n

Create your Sandman<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Among the different things to do in Lanzarote at Christmas there is also the option of making a Sandman.<\/p>\n

Since there is no snow the best alternative is sand, which is indispensable to create a Christmasman. Do not forget to put in your luggage the swimsuit and a Christmas hat to put it to your creation.<\/p>\n
