Teror is famous for several resons but the main one is the Bas\u00edlica de la Virgen del Pino<\/strong>, patron of the Diocesis of Gran Canaria.<\/p>\n

The basilica of the XVIII century is the most important building and it\u2019s a famous place for pilgrimages. Devotees of the Virgen del Pino from all the archipelago arrive for a wonderful pilgrimage that takes place every year on September the 7th.<\/p>\n

We should mention also the Convento del C\u00edster<\/strong>, the Convento de las Dominicas<\/strong>, the Iglesia del Sagrado Coraz\u00f3n de Jes\u00fas<\/strong> and the Iglesia de Nuestra Se\u00f1ora de las Nieves<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Even if the religious buildings are an important part of Teror, also the civil buildings are very nice and they worth to be admired.<\/p>\n

Among them, there are several houses of popular architecture such as \u00a0town hall<\/strong>,\u00a0 House of Henr\u00edquez<\/strong>, of XVII century, \u00a0House of <\/strong>Q<\/strong>uintana<\/strong> or the \u00a0Mart\u00ednez Lara <\/strong>ones<\/strong>.<\/strong><\/p>\n

If you like markets, this is an other reason to discover Teror.\u00a0 Every Sundays by Plaza de Sintes, close to the bas\u00edlica, it takes place the famous market of Teror.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s a craft market with different typical products such as wood crafts, embroidery and basketry. There are also products from the field, cakes and the famous chorizos de Teror and sweet morcilla.<\/p>\n
